The school has an active and enthusiastic Parents, Teachers and Friends Association which encourages participation from all parents.
Its principal aim is fund raising to benefit the children, which it does very successfully, raising over £12,000 a year in the last four years. This money is put to many uses, such as providing extra equipment, subsidising school trips and most notably the contributions to the Building Fund that provided the extra first floor classroom in 1996, the Computer Suite in 2001 and the new Library in 2007.
However, as well as fund raising the PTFA organises many enjoyable social events for school families and local residents, such as the Summer Fair and Christmas Family Evening.
It also organises events just for parents such as the Annual Dinner Dance at Ramsbottom Cricket Club or events just for children such as Hoe Downs, quizzes and disco's in the summer and at Christmas.
The PTFA meets once a month during term time and meetings are informal with all parents invited to attend or just send along their ideas. Most of all, we rely on parents to help at events and we are always grateful for the support we receive.
